Browse all cards →Plug in the data you actually consume each month plus whether you need unli calls / text and 5G access. The calculator scans the Globe, Smart, and DITO catalog — both postpaid lock-ins and prepaid bundles — and ranks the ones that meet your stated needs by monthly cost, lowest first.
Plans that don't quite fit (e.g. 8 GB data when you need 15) are marked "short" and pushed below the fitting list so you can see the next-tier-down option in case you want to trim. Rates last reviewed 2026-05-22.
On iOS: Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data Usage (resets manually, so check the date). On Android: Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile Network → Data Usage. Look at three or four months and take the rough average. Most casual users run 8–15 GB, heavy streamers 30+ GB, and remote workers tethering for video calls easily 40 GB and up.
Postpaid is a 24-month lock-in: you sign a contract, pay monthly, and the carrier ships you a SIM and often a bundled device. Prepaid bundles are 30-day promos you renew via the carrier app or load — no contract, easy to walk away. Postpaid usually wins on price-per-GB once you're past 15 GB; prepaid bundles win on flexibility and for users at 10 GB or under.
DITO Postpaid 199 includes unlimited calls to DITO numbers only — not Globe or Smart. If most of the people you call are on Globe/Smart, the ₱199 tier becomes deceptively cheap because per-minute charges to other networks (around ₱6.50/min) stack up. The 299 tier is the cheapest DITO plan with true all-network unli calls.
Most postpaid and prepaid bundles state a full-speed monthly allotment — once you hit the cap, the carrier either cuts data entirely or throttles to ~2 Mbps. Unlimited-data plans (Globe Platinum, Smart Signature 2999, DITO Postpaid 999) have a Fair Use Policy: usually after 100–120 GB, speed drops sharply. For most households 50 GB or less, the distinction doesn't matter.
Only if your area has it. All three carriers list 5G coverage maps on their sites — Metro Manila, major cities, and most provincial centers are well covered. If you're in a 5G-thin area, a 4G-only prepaid bundle at the same price often delivers similar or better real-world speeds because the 5G band is less saturated when fewer phones can use it.
